This Rwanda’s Biggest and oldest park in Africa. It is where conservation in Africa begun from. The gorilla research was also conducted here and if you are into how gorillas were discovered and all the ancient studies, this is the best place.
Its about 2 hours from the capital Kigali which makes it even easier because you can arrive with an early morning flight and track on that very same day.
If you have no time for the long drives this is also ideal for you. A gorilla permit here costs $1500
Virunga National Park
The Virunga National park is another place you can trek gorillas and its found in DRC near the Congo-Rwanda Boarder.
